Dominating Kuwait with its 372 meters, Liberation tower is the fifth tallest communication tower in the world.
Construction started in 1987, stopped for a short while during the Iraqi invasion of 1990, and resumed 1993.
Covering an area of 21.000 square meters, it contains a hall to serve public 24 hours a day,
the main building holding administrative and technical offices, as well as the tower itself.
You can notice the two vertical cavities in the tower body which contain two elevators,
providing a good view of Kuwait as you climb to reach the restaurant and the viewing balcony.
The tower also holds an eighteen meter underground foundation with three basements.
